This barn was constructed by Sylvanus Marriage in about 1902 on his farm five miles south and two miles east of New Rockford (N.D.). Many of the original features of the barn remain, although metal siding was added to the structure in the late 1960's-early 1970's. This barn was entered into the National Register of Historic Places as part of a Round Barn thematic nomination 1986-08-21.
