| Biography/History | The J. L. Grandin, a wood-hulled sternwheel steamboat, was built in Moorhead, Minn., in 1878. John L. Grandin had the boat built to haul wheat from his bonanza farm in Traill County. The steamboat was said to be the fastest boat on the Red River. The J. L. Grandin was beached at Hague, N.D., about 1891. |
