Biography/HistoryThe Headquarters Hotel was first built by the Northern Pacific Railroad in 1872 and burned in 1874. A second hotel was built, the building pictured above, in only 90 days. The railroad depot layed in the middle of the park. The railroad tracks run between the park and the hotel.
