| Biography/History | The building at 413 N.P. Avenue was built in 1902 by Amos Tweeden as a small one story pool hall. By 1909 he had significantly added on to the building creating the Tweeden Hotel. The hotel had 100 rooms and featured a restaurant, barbershop, bowling alley, and billiard hall. Amos Tweeden died in 1926, and his widow Oline and son Ned managed the hotel for a few years. By 1948, the hotel was managed by Carl J. and Alice Iverson. They apparently bought the hotel, and renamed it the Iverson Hotel in the late 1940s. |
