| Biography/History | Gertrude Stenehjem was born in Sogndal, Norway in 1880. She came to America in 1900. In 1907 she filed a homestead claim 5 miles south of Arnegard, N.D. in the southwest 1/4, Section 7, Township 149, Range 99. She married Roy Mitten in 1912, and they had seven children. Roy died in 1951, and Gertie died in 1960, in Sidney, Montana. |
