| Biography/History | "1211 9th St. S.: 1924; English Cottage, chimney on front façade and sweeping roof down to gabled front entry; irregular massing and complicated roof line; round arched door under arched and bracketed front entry. House has been metal sided." - Fargo's Heritage, by Norene A. Roberts. 1983, p. 74. First owner of the house was Frank W. Kalka who lived in the house from about 1924-1930. He was followed by Ira Slingsby, a dentist who lived in the house for most of the 1930s. He was followed by J. Alphonse Fleck the owner of Fleck Chevrolet Buick Co. |
