Biography/HistoryOle I. Gjevre was born in 1863 in Valdres, Norway. In 1868 he emigrated with his mother and siblings to Iowa. In 1882 he came to Walsh County, N.D. He married Marie Flom in 1884 who was born in Goodhue County, N.D. in 1862. They had seven children. Mrs. Gjevre died in 1920 and he in 1960.
