| Biography/History | Nora Johnson was born in 1890 and grew up at Gatzke, Minn. In 1912 she came to Divide County to help care for her brother Julius' children. That same fall she decided to homestead in Wesby Township of Divide County. She proved up her claim in 1916.She married Gunder Rust in 1918. He was a Norwegian immigrant, coming to the area from Norway in 1913. They farmed and later lived in Alkabo, N.D. He died in 1938 and Nora in 1978. |
