| Biography/History | Gilbert W. Davis was born in Madison County, N.Y. in 1836. He was a Civil War veteran, and lived for a time in Indiana before coming to Fargo, N.D. in 1896. Here he represented the Monitor Drill Co. with his brother. He served as a member of N. D. Gov. Hanna's staff, and was a member of the Fargo Shrine and Masonic order. He died in the Waldorf Hotel in Fargo, in 1921. |
