| Biography/History | According to Fargo city records the house at 824 9th Street S. was built in 1904. From 1909 to 1938, the home belonged to the Robert B. Boyd family. Robert Boyd was a farmer from Wheatland and Absaraka who moved to Fargo in 1909. He was a member of the North Dakota Legislature in 1896 and 1898. He served on the Cass County Board of Commissioners from 1915 until 1926, serving as its chairman for a number of years. He died in 1926, and his widow May Burney Boyd continued to live in the house until about 1939. |
