Biography/HistoryOle I. Gjevre was born in 1863 in Valdres, Norway. In 1868 he emigrated with his mother and siblings to Iowa. In 1882 he came to Walsh County, N.D. and in 1884 he married Marie Flom, born in Goodhue County, Minn. They raised a family of seven children. Mrs. Gjevre died in 1920 and Mr. Gjevre in 1960.
