| Description | The fire at the VFW was located at 226 Broadway and began the night of January 15, 1954 and wasn't completely put out until the next day. Also pictured is a firefighter and some of the firefighting equipment on the ground. The Fargo Toggery is the business to the right of the VFW and was not harmed significantly by the fire. Firefighters fought flames as well as outside frigid temperatures between 20 and 30 below. |
