| Biography/History | "The Hancock building, at 109-11 Broadway, and the Douglass Block, at 113 Broadway, were built in Classical Revival style at the same time in 1903 by their owners, builders and architects, the Hancock Brothers. The Hancock Building has particularly beautiful stamped metal spandrels and a bracketed metal cornace. The very tall keystones above the windows are typical of the period." - Fargo's Heritage, by Norene A. Roberts, p. 57. |
