| Biography/History | Rebecca Johanna Heide was born in Norway in 1875. She came to America in 1901 and lived several years at Grand Forks, N.D. In 1904 she, a friend and her future husband, Nils Rolfsrud, homesteaded in Keene Township, McKenzie County, N.D. Later Nils and Rebecca were married and had five children. He died in 1920 and Rebecca continued living on the farm. She died in 1935. Rebecca and Nils were the parents of famed North Dakota author Erling N. Rolfsrud. |
