McCready, a training officer with the V. A. Around 1951 the home was bought by John D. Nelson, Optometrist. The Nelson family lived in the home until 1989. The home was then owned by Rurik and Mary Ekstrom. The home as torn down on March 30, 2011 for flood mitigation.
