| Biography/History | According to Fargo city records the house at 1342 South River Road was built in 1941. It first belonged to Dr. Leon Metzinger, professor of Romance Languages at N.D.A.C. About 1949 the house was bought by Fred M. Scheel, founder of the Scheel's hardware store chain. The house torn down February 2010 for flood mitigation. |
