| Biography/History | Mary Clauson was born in Opstryn, Norway in 1884. She came to America with her brother at the age of 19. She homesteaded in Section 9, of Township 153N, Range 93W in 1907, near Brookbank, N.D. In 1909 she married Samuel Uran and swapped claims with her brother-in-law William Uran. They had eight children. In the 1940's Mary and Sam Uran moved first to Sanish, N.D. and then to New Town, N.D. Sam died in 1961 and Mary died in 1971. |
