"Retired July 1951. Was free lance court reporter later John Pollack - district judge appointed her juvenile commissioner - Fargo N.D. held job 7 years until health forced her to retire. Clara Bond-Mason connected with office since 1927 - court reporter" - hand written on back of print (2008.107.4).

Biography/HistoryClara Bond was born in Webster City, Iowa on May 30, 1893. She attended Highland Park College in Des Moines. She worked as a court reporter in Mandan, N.D. She was married to Sydney Mason in 1918, and they had two children, Robert and Jean (Mrs. Bill Guy). In 1926 the family moved to Fargo, N.D. where she became juvenile court commissioner, from which she retired in 1951. She died in Bismarck, N.D. on September 30, 1966.
