DescriptionSt. Joseph's School at Wild Rice, North Dakota, in 1905. A group of girls all wearing hats are standing on the front steps of the convent in rows. A nun is standing to the left of the bottom row of girls. A group of boys arranged in two long rows stand to the side of the steps, most of the boys are holding their hats at their sides. Visible along the side of the building is a bench and a rain barrel. Also partially visible is a much smaller building behind the convent. School run by Sisters of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary.
