Automobiles and pedestrians also visible. One truck in front has "United Window Cleaners" and "Janitor Service" painted on the front and back. Warner and Company Insurance painted on window in second level of the Merchants National Bank building.

Biography/History"The Black building across the street at 114-18 Broadway, is not only Fargo's tallest downtown building in the historic district, but is an outstanding example of the Art Moderne style. It was built by the Minneapolis firm of Lang, Raugland, and Lewis with Braseth and Houkom of Fargo as associate architects. The Art Moderne interior lobby and elevator doors are worth seeing." - Fargo's Heritage, by Norene A. Roberts. 1983, p. 57.
"Across the street on the west side of Broadway at 122-23 is the Merchants National Bank building, built in 1921 from plans by the Hancock Brothers. It is decorated with cream-colored glazed tile trim and a name and date block '1890-1921' reminding passers-by of the founding date of the bank and the date of the building. the style is Commercial Colonial Revival with Jacobethan tabs around the windows." - Fargo's Heritage, by Norene A.
