| Transcription | "1913, Rutledge family. Seated-Fred S. Rutledge. Rear, standing-Ada J. (Dickison) Rutledge. Front L to R., Harriet Ellen Rutledge, Violet Emma Rutledge, Hazel May Rutledge. This picture taken the day before Mrs. Rutledge went to North Western Hospital for treatment of a badly infected varicose ulcer on inside of right ankle, extending from below ankle, up to within 4 inches of knee. In hospital, 3 weeks and 5 days. While there a Miss McKewen, daughter of Mr. McKewen of Park River, N.D. whom I knew as a boy was in bed next to Ada " - Handwritten on back of mount. |
