Drive
North)
was
occupied
by
Edwin
Ladd
from
about
1893
to his
death
in
1925.
Edwin
Ladd
was
chemistry
professor
at
North
Dakota
Agricultural
College
(North
Dakota
State
University)
, and
served
as
university
president
from
1916-1921.
In
1920
he was
elected
to the
United
States
Senate
and
served
in the
body
from
1921
till
his
death
in
1925.
After
his
death
the
house
served
for
some
time
as a
sorority
house
and
eventually
became
rental
property.
In the
1980s
it
was
torn
down
and
replaced
by an
apartment
building.
