| Biography/History | Joseph William Brown was born in Elgin, Illinois on September 5, 1878. About 1884, he moved with his parents to Cherokee, Iowa. In the 1910s he moved to Thoeny, Valley County, Montana where he settled on some land near his brother Martin. He died in Valley County, Montana on July 10, 1940. |
