| Description | Reenactment of event that occurred between an unidentified Indian and John Christiansen on his farm in 1883 when he was breaking land. Indian told Christiansen that the plowed land was the wrong side up. This led to him beginning dairy farming as did other farmers in the New Salem, N.D. area. In scene, Christiansen is standing behind a one-bottom plow being pulled by horses. Standing beside plow are two Indians. Another man partially visible behind Mr. Christiansen. |

| Biography/History | "On June 12th [1935] the 'Wrong Side Up' marker was unveiled. Dr. Sheppard, president of the N.D.A.C. was master of ceremonies.
