| Transcription | Postmarked at McLeod, N.D., May 18, 1908, addressed to Adolf Wiberg, Akron, Iowa. Double text written diagonally, opposite directions: "McLeod, N.Dak., May 17, 1908. I have seeded 55 acres and the first of sowed are up So if it don't come to much rain I will be down seeding this week. Mr. B[illegible] are breaking with three teams now he have 23 acers left so he will be done by wensday night if it don't rain so it will stop [illegible] last night it rain quite a little so it is standing water in the slues I have not bought any more horses. am changing work with my nabor so it goes just the same. Last Sunday I had to bake bread Today I have washed so it keeps me busy every day, early and late. The trees are getting leaves on so I think they are going to grow. This place looks a hole lot better now than it looked when we was up last spring. I am well and hope these lines will find you well again." |
