Postmarked at New Rockford, N.D., June 17, 1911, addressed to Mrs. A.S. Hardley, Hirdvace?, Idaho. Text reads: "6-17-1911. Dear Carrie: Were glad to receive your letter and am writing this to give you the address you wanted. It is as follows: Mrs. John LaRue, 170 N Rueble St. Indianapolis, Ind. We should be pleased to have Lydia make us a visit if she can when she returns. We are having lots of rain and everything is growing fast. Mother sends love and we will write a letter soon. Love to all Mary."

Biography/HistoryThe Phillips Academy, owned by the Congregational Church, was a preparatory boarding school which offered two years of high school. It opened in 1904 and closed in 1912. It later was sold to the New Rockford School District.
