| Biography/History | "[Architect Milton] Beebe favored classical revival designs. Beebe's most elaborate classical revival house, done for Thomas A. Quirk in 1908, is at 1129 Fifth Avenue S. This frame clapboard-sided house cost $10, 000. Its facade facing the street has a two story portico of columns topped by Roman Ionic capitals. Instead of plain corner boards, the house has beautiful wooden pilasters."- Fargo's Heritage, by Norene A. Roberts. 1983, p. 17. |
