| Biography/History | "Another simpler, but popular form of the Italianate style is the house at 379 Seventh Avenue S. In its essential shape, window arrangement, and detailing, it could easily have come from ready-made pattern book plans, and may have been built by John Pray, a close neighbor. Built around 1881, this house later became the home of Judge Charles F. Amidon, a leading Fargo attorney who controlled the politics of Fargo in the 1880s." - Fargo's Heritage, by Norene A. Roberts. 1983, p. 10. |
