| Transcription | "Gardner, 9/15/09. Dear Fred: Rec'd your note Mon. It made me feel blue kid worst you do better Fred? You need not think that I will not be glad to hear from you. Am always glad to hear from you dear, even tho you've acted cool! Was very sorry I didn't see you before leaving but the weather was so very disagreeable while there and before I left and you were so very busy that I saw no chance. Came out here Sun PM, enjoyed myself immensely while in Fargo Fri. & Sat. opened school Mon. with an enrollment of 12. Have all grades and am as busy a little girl as you could find. I like my school just fine also my boarding place and feel assured that I shall have a very pleasant school year. Everybody is so good to me that I know I shall not grow homesick. How I wish I could be with you once in awhile Fred but then if I were near you I be too busy to spend much time with Mae. Sincerely hope you will think of me at least once in a while and that you'll come to Fargo xmas and I shall do my best to show you a good time. Mae. Address in % E.H.
