| Biography/History | Fargo, N.D. was one of four sites in the United States where the Commonwealth Fund in 1923 established maternal and child health services projects. Out of the five-year project a Fargo public health department was established to continue the project's work. The project's headquarters were in the Longfellow Elementary School, 1005 4th Avenue North. |
