| Description | Elevated view, possibly from atop the grandstand, of a baseball game in progress. The pitcher has just released the ball towards the batter at home plate. There are players leading off at first and second bases. Players on the opposing team in the field and two umpires visible. There is a wood fence around the outfield with large advertising signs, including ones for Royal Jewelers, Coca-cola, McCoy drink, Seagrams, Pabst beer, Carlisle and Bristol supermix and Haggart's. The angle of this view is looking northeast towards the corner of Broadway and 19th Ave. North. Only one house on the northeast corner of the intersection is visible. Beyond the intersection is a farm field with two haystacks visible; far in the distance, along the Red River is a farm building. The two teams playing are unknown, but one is possibly the F-M Twins. |
