| Transcription | "Dental Co. #1 occupied horse-sheds which were vacated by cavalry formerly stationed at Camp Greenleaf. These Sheds consisted of only a roof, both sides being open, with a row of cots on each side of the manger which extended down the center thru the sheds. Dental Co. #1 numbered from a small number in July 1918 to over 1000 in Dec. 1918, all being dentists without commissions who were in training. Altho these sheds were uncomfortable quarters in cold and rainy weather, the open air life was great for health" - Handwritten on back of print. "Oscar Hoffman" - Handwritten on back of print. |
