| Transcription | "The Northern Pacific industrial area at the eastern outskirts of Moorhead is shown in this Fargo Forum aerial photo within the dotted lines. Ray C. Murphy, assistant general passenger and freight agent here, said a roadway will be built along the north boundary, adjacent to the tracks. The 40-acre tract reaches from the tracks to between Second and Third Avenues South, and from a point near Twenty-first Street eastward to a large drainage ditch shown in the foreground. The area is now being platted and eventually is expected to be filled with industry. The dotted line at upper right shows the proposed new routing of U.S. 10 and U.S. 75.Both would be routed through the underpass and down Center Avenue." - caption with similar image published in the Fargo Forum, Feb. 12, 1953, p. 7. |
