| Biography/History | The Fire-Tower, 35 meters tall, was built in 1823-1827. Inside there are rooms that were used for cisterns with water, a stable, and living quarters. Around the top is an observation deck. The City of Kostroma, founded in 1152, is approximately 340 kilometers northeast of Moscow. It is located at the confluence the Kostroma and Volga rivers. |
