Biography/HistoryRalph Shane and his family moved to Elbowoods at the time that the Garrison Dam was going to be built. Ralph Shane and his family relocated to New Town after the Dam was built. He served as the Superintendent of the Fort Berthold Agency until August of 1955. He also bought and ran the New Town News for two years.
