Biography/HistorySven Erfjord came to Buxton, North Dakota in 1890, from Stavanger, Norway. He was born in Norway in about 1874. He homesteaded in Manfred Township in 1897. In 1904 he returned to Norway and married Sofie Watland. They came back to his homestead and lived there until 1917, when they moved to Esmond, N.D. Later they moved to Fargo, N.D. Mr. Erfjord did carpenter work in addition to farming. They were members of the Bethel Lutheran Church and lived 2 miles North of Adolph Shirley's farm.
