| Biography/History | Sylvane Ferris and his brother Joe came from New Brunwick, Canada to the Badlands in 1881. Sylvane acted as Roosevelt's manager for the Maltese Cross and Elkhorn Ranch. During his presidency, Theodore Roosevelt had Sylvane run the Land Office in Medora. |
