| Biography/History | Jamestown College was founded in 1883, six years before North Dakota even became a state. Sanford Hall, a dormitory for girls, was erected in 1910 largely the result of the generosity of C. A. Sanford of Courtenay, ND. His gift was in the form of real estate on which the College realized a major part of the funds which built Sanford Hall. The three-storey brick hall accommodated 80 girls. |
