| Biography/History | In the 1885 Dakota Territory Census the Ringuett family is listed as living in Stutsman County. Henry Ringuett, the father, was born in Canada in 1833. His wife, Louisa was born in 1836 in Michigan, and died in 1908 in Stutsman County. Gilbert Ringuett was born in 1858 in MI, he married Anna M. and still lived in Stutsman County in 1930. Louisa Ringuett was born in 1862 in MI. William Ringuett was born in 1863 in MI, Louis Ringuett was born in 1863, Libby Ringuett was born in 1869, and Emery Ringuett was born in 1874, all in Michigan. Eugene, born in 1876, and Edward, born in 1879, were born in Wisconsin. Fred Ringuett was born in 1882, and listed as born in Canada. There is no mention of a Charles Ringuett, or Ringuette, however if Louisa Ringuett was named after his mother he might have gone by a middle name, and he would be the right age for this portrait. |
