Mr. and Mrs. George Burgett present this picture to the Old Settlers Club to be kept by the President and handed to succeeding Presidents and to remain the property of the Old Settlers Club. Biography/HistoryEugene Clark is listed in the 1885 Dakota Territory Census as being age 25, his occupation says salesman, born in WI, and in 1885 he lived in Jamestown, in Stutsman County.
1885 Veterans of Stutsman County --- G. L. Barron, 1995: listed as John F. Vennum part of Company D with Regiment 150IL, enrolled in January of 1865, with the Union from Stutsman County (page 2) - page A1-7 in Writer's Block, Jamestown People & Places by Bruce Berg.
