| Biography/History | H.J. Ott was born in Germany in 1844, and was listed as a probate judge in Jamestown, N.D. in the Dakota Territory 1885 Census. H.J. Ott's wife was born in Wisconsin in 1849. H.J. Ott was fire chief in Jamestown, N.D. from April 1881-1882. The Jamestown Fire Department was organized in 1884. |
