| Description | A view of a parade down Fifth Avenue, the main street, in Jamestown, Dakota Territory. A man on a white horse leads the parade, followed by a marching band, then possibly military troops and after that carriages. Spectators line both sides of the street with railroad tracks crossing the road. On the left are a few buildings, signs say "Shoenberg Bros. Dry Goods, Boots, Shoes, Clothing, Groceries, " "D.L. Wilbur, Real estate & Loans." And a sign on top of a two story brick building says "Nickeus, Wilbur & Nicholas. Northern Pacific Railroad Lands." On the right are more buildings along the street. There is a three story light colored building that says "James River National Bank." |

Judd was a photographer that worked in Jamestown, N.D. from 1885-1904 at Judd Studio on 5th Ave. & 3rd St. Charles Leroy Judd, descendants of Joseph Knapp, Alexander McCrea & Eliphalet Wyatt, was born in 1856 in Portage County Wisconsin. Chas L. Judd is listed in the 1885 Dakota Territory Census under Stutsman County as being 29 years old, born in Wisconsin and his occupation says photographer. He married in Stutsman County, N.D. |
