| Biography/History | In January 1946 the U.S.S. Fargo was a light cruiser, a sleek one stacker, a 10,000 ton fighting ship, and the first of her class in the navy. Length of the ship was 605 feet, exactly 10 times its width which was 60.5 feet. It was announced in October 1949 that the U.S.S. Fargo would be decommissioned in the immediate future, even though it was less than four years old. |
