Robert Pike is the man on the ground. Walter Pike is the standing on the thresher.
Biography/HistoryThe name Pembina is derived from the Chippewa Indian term for the high bush cranberry which grew in profusion along the Pembina River. Anepeminan Sipi means Redberry River. With the pronunciation of the French Metis, anepeminan could very easily become Pembina.
