Note oak facing planks supported on framework of posts and [walers?] and barked with huge boulders on downstream side. Dam failed when river cut new channel around south abutment. | Biography/History | James Sorenson built a flour mill near Daily, North Dakota in 1881 but when it became clear that the mill would never be served by the railroad, Sorenson expanded the business and built a steam-powered roller mill on the Northern Pacific in Sheldon, Ransom County in 1891. The mill in Daily burnt down in 1910. |
