Biography/HistoryIn 1987, the college's name changed three times: from Bismarck Junior College to Bismarck State Community College, to Bismarck State College. Although the name was never officially changed to University of North Dakota-Bismarck, there were discussions as to making the Bismarck campus an extension of the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
