| Biography/History | The Frost Festival was an annual, weeklong celebration for the students at Bismarck Junior College. It was initiated in 1965 when the school board eliminated the football program. The Frost Festival took the place of homecoming. The celebrations included dances, ice sculptures, contests, a variety show, a Frost Festival Queen competition, and a day of winter sports at Twilight Hills, now Huff Hills Ski Area. The theme for the 1968 Frost Festival was the "Ice-edelic Fantasy."
