| Biography/History | In 1905 the Valley City Street and Inter-urban Railway Company was franchised by O.A. Beeman. The railway was incorporated, constructed, a downtown office was built, and it began to operate in 1905. The Valley City Street and Inter-urban Railway Company operated from December 1905 until 1915 on what is Central Avenue today. This image was taken in 1906 of the No. 1 car, which was a combination baggage and passenger Inter-urban car build by Pullman Company (c. 1900) and was in service from 1905 till 1915. |
