Two entrances to the lodge are visible on the front of the building and some windows can be seen. Three gasoline pumps are in sight in front of the lodge. The signs read "FILLING STATION" "STANDARD OIL COMPANY" "JOHN BLANCOWE - AGENT." and "ISO VIS MOTOR OIL." In the background of the photograph the badlands are visible.
