| Biography/History | Gillies' Machine Shop was next to Mike Svard's Livery Stable and a barber shop & store in Hensel, N.D. in 1905.
1910 United States Federal Census lists a Frank Gillies age 16 born in about 1894 to Frank (age 60) and Mary (age 55) Gillies. Other household members listed are: Cathline Gillies(age 32), John Gillies(age 29); Mary Gillies(age 27); Alice Gillies(age 18); and John Saligan (age 40). Frank Gillies Jr. was born in 1894 in North Dakota and died in 1974. 1930 US Federal Census lists a William Sigurdson born about 1889, living in Pembina County, N.D. at the age of 41. |
